GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The Miracle League of Green Bay announced Friday the cancellation of the regular season for 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"At this time, given the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, the risks presented for playing games significantly outweigh the benefits for the players and their families," explained Gary Rogaczewski, Executive Director. "The risks to the volunteers, umpires, concession help, and other participants also played a role in the decision."
Rogaczewski said parents who have paid their registration fee will be contacted in the next few weeks to arrange for a refund or the option to have it credited towards the 2021 season.
The Miracle League provides opportunities for children with special needs to play baseball.
