Milwaukee County Zoo Milwaukee County Zoo welcomes a new sea lion that was rescued from off the coast of California.
The 4-year-old sea lion, Kanuk, is the seventh sea lion rescued by the zoo's marine mammal division Oceans of Fun according to a tweet Wednesday morning.
Welcome, Kanuk! After found stranded multiple times off the coast of California, Kanuk was deemed non-releasable and was in need of rescuing by our friends at Oceans of Fun. He is thought to be 4 years old and is the seventh California sea lion rescued by Oceans of Fun. pic.twitter.com/rO6aFj2w4X
