MENOMINEE INDIAN RESERVATION, Wis. — The Menominee Nation declared a State of Emergency on Sunday following the damage and power outages cause by this weekend's storms.

According to a news release, the Menominee Nation said the severe weather that hit the Menominee Reservation/County over the past two days has caused wide spread damage and power outages.

The State of Emergency declaration allows the Menominee Tribe resources to be available for response. It also allows the tribe to call upon local, state, and federal assistance.

The Menominee Nation said the Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center has set up emergency shelters around communities impacted by the storms.
