MANITOWOC (NBC 26) -- The retailer company Meijer has confirmed that its new supercenter in Manitowoc will open Thursday, July 9.
Meijer said in a news release Friday that the new 159,000-square-foot supercenter will feature fresh grocery, fresh bakery, fresh meat and deli counters, as well as a garden center. This is in addition to a pharmacy, electronics, toys, sports and apparel.
Due to coronavirus concerns, Meijer said the new store will follow mandated state requirements and guidelines regarding social distancing. Store employees will receive daily health screenings and temperature checks, and are recommended to wear masks. Customers are also asked to wear masks in the store.
Doors open at 6:00 a.m. on July 9.
Meijer says the supercenter will be the latest of 12 stores the company has opened in Wisconsin since 2015.
