JANESVILLE, Wis. — 21 people were injured after dozens of vehicles including semi trucks collided due to winter conditions in Rock County on Friday.
The freeway pileup happened near Milepost 181 between Beloit and Janesville. All lanes finally reopened about nine hours around 9:10 p.m.

Rock County Communications tells TMJ4 News about 30 vehicles were involved in the crash.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said snow, ice, and whiteout conditions were factors in the Rock County crash.
The Beloit/Janesville area saw 2.2 inches of snow over the last 24 hours, according to the National Weather Service.

Meanwhile in Kenosha County, authorities responded to a large crash involving semi-trucks.That crash shut down northbound lanes along the stateline.
