MARINETTE COUNTY (NBC 26) -- The man accused of shooting and killing his wife in Marinette County was sentenced Monday to 40 years in prison.

According to Wisconsin's online court records, a judge sentenced Gary Rogge to 40 years of initial confinement and 20 years of extended supervision. Rogge was convicted earlier this year of First Degree Reckless Homicide.

In a previous reportback in January, court documents said Gary Rogge called 911 and told dispatch he shot his wife, Shelley Rogge. He claimed he had been drinking all day and accidentally shot her while playing shooting games. Court documents said the suspect waited two hours before calling police.
