Several towns and cities in Northeast Wisconsin have declared an emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The De Pere Common Council approved an emergency resolution to declare a state of emergency for the city in response to coronavirus fears.
Non-essential City facilities and municipal services will be temporarily suspend public access as of March 18:
- De Pere Community Center
- Municipal Service Center
- Police and Fire Stations
- City Hall (except voter registration and absentee voting in the City Clerk's Office)
City officials say they are in the process of migrating to a video format for future public meetings. Once finalized, additional information will be made available on the CIty's website.

Mayor Tony Penterman declared a Public Health Emergency in the City of Kaukauna on Tuesday. The following buildings will be closed:
- Municipal Services Building
- Fire Station
- Streets, Parks, and Recreation (SPAR) Building
- 1000 Islands Environmental Center
- Kaukauna Public Library
- Kaukauna Utilities
Exceptions to these closures include early voting at the Municipal Services Building beginning Monday, March 23rd and the Municipal Services Building and the SPAR Building for voting on Tuesday, April 7th.
Committee and Council meetings will be held as normal. The City of Kaukauna also reminds voters that absentee ballots to vote are available by mail. You can request one at myvote.wi.gov.

Manitowoc's Mayor Justin M. Nickels signed the declaration Tuesday. The declaration ordered several facilities to close until April 6, including:
- Manitowoc Senior Center
- Manitowoc Public Library
- Rahr-West Art Museum
- Lincoln Park Zoo
- Manitowoc Municipal Court
- Evergreen Cemetery office
- City parks restrooms will be locked
- All reservations made at city facilities are canceled
- City Hall will remain open for employees and voting. Citizens must request an appointment before visiting for any other purpose.
The city also says on its website that tax payments due March 31 will also be extended to encourage people to avoid having to come to City Hall.
The declaration restricts travel for city employees and may allow some city workers to telecommute.
The emergency declaration also allows the mayor to use public funds to respond to the emergency and allows city workers to apply for any federal, state, or county aid that becomes available as a result of this pandemic.
