CHILTON (NBC 26) -- A man convicted of a drunken driving motorcycle crash that killed his passenger and hurt a boy on a bicycle was sentenced Wednesday.

Codi Miller was convicted of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle for the crash in 2018 in the Village of Harrison. 53-year-old Kim Anderson was killed and a boy who was riding his bike was seriously injured.

Miller spoke to the court about that day:

"The one thing that sticks out in my mind is seeing everybody around Kim, and I had to kneel down by her and she barely had a pulse, and then hearing somebody say, 'she's gone.'"

A Calumet County judge sentenced Miller to 14 years in prison and 14 years on extended supervision for his crime.
