SHEBOYGAN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- A snowmobile crash caused a man to become airborne for about 100 feet, the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office said Sunday night.
First responders got a 911 call at around 9:10 p.m. Sunday for a snowmobile crash in a field near near STH 144 at the intersection of Lynn Rd. The Sheriff's Office said a 34 year old West Bend man was travelling fast on a snowmobile trail when the snowmobile left the trail and hit a rock wall.
The crash threw the snowmobile and operator about 100 feet, the Sheriff's Office said. The man was taken via Flight For Life to Froedtert Hospital with serious injuries.
The Wisconsin DNR will handle the investigation into this crash.
