Man arrested in Appleton bank robbery

APPLETON, Wis. — The Appleton Police Department arrest a man minutes after after a bank robbery.

One man is in custody following the robbery at Community First Credit Union. At 6:00 pm Appleton officers were dispatched for a bank robbery
at Community First Credit Union located at 1235 W Spencer Street in Appleton.

Initial reports stated a masked male entered the bank, displayed a weapon and left the bank with money.
An Appleton officer was in the immediate area and as the officer responded to the parking lot he observed a male, wearing a mask, fitting the suspect’s description walking through the parking lot. The officer made contact with the male later identified as 19 year old Xenxai Yang and he was taken into custody.
