Man accused of sexually assaulting students bound for trial

OSHKOSH (NBC 26) -- A court case for a man accused of sexually assaulting elementary school students in Menasha is moving forward.

Online court records filed Monday show Alex Patterson waived his preliminary hearing. He is now bound over for trial.

Wisconsin Circuit Court Access also shows the court adjusted Patterson's cash bond to $50,000. His previous bond had been $100,000.

The court ordered Patterson to have no contact with the children he's accused of assaulting, no contact with anyone under the age of 18, no access to the Internet other than supervised for work purposes and to stay away from school campuses. He's also ordered to have no firearms and to not leave Wisconsin. Patterson also has to comply with GPS monitoring.

Patteron's next court appearance is scheduled for January 16.
