BROWN COUNTY — A Green Bay man drove on the wrong side of the highway while speeding away from law enforcement, according to a criminal complaint.
Court documents show Jonathan Tease is facing four charges related to the chase that happened on I-41 Friday morning. At 9:35 a.m., deputies responded to multiple calls of a pickup truck driving on the wrong side of the road.
The complaint said deputies tried to pull the truck over, but it sped away. At one point, the truck reached speeds of up to 90 miles per hour while on I-41. The complaint said the truck drove out of Brown County into Outagamie County and then back into Brown County again. The complaint said authorities used tire deflation devices, but they were unsuccessful.
One of the deputy’s statements in the complaint said the driver was removing and throwing clothing out of the window during the chase. Court documents said deputies eventually used a pit maneuver to stop the truck. The driver got out, wearing only shorts, and ran off, but deputies eventually arrested him at a nearby business. The complaint said deputies tased him during the arrest.
The criminal complaint said the suspect was transported to Aurora BayCare and medically cleared. He was also cited for OWI at the hospital, the complaint said.
Charges Jonathan Tease faces include two counts of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. Online court records show he's due to appear in court on September 5.
