VILLAGE OF LOMIRA, Wis. (NBC 26) -- Dodge County Sheriff's Office released more information on the death of a 3-year-old boy in Lomira.

Local police were called to a house on the 700 block on Railroad Ave. in the Village of Lomira for a deceased child the evening of March 6.

According to the report, an autopsy of the boy revealed the cause of death was not natural.

Deputies say they arrested the mother, age 32, on a charge of Child Neglect Causing Death. They have not charged the father, age 33, but he is in custody on probation through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

The Sheriff's Office says there were two other children who were removed from the home by Dodge County Human Services for their protection and are safe.

This is an ongoing investigation.
