DE PERE (NBC 26) -- Many families took in a brisk walk Wednesday in De Pere for National Walk Your Child to School Day.
The De Pere Mayor Mike Walsh stopped out at Dickinson Elementary School to welcome students and parents. It's all about promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Parents and children telling us it was a treat for some who don't always get the chance to walk in. The students also got to pick out a prize for participating.
