Leaders at Advocate Aurora said they have freezers ready throughout the system to store the vaccine. They've also been prioritizing team members for the first doses possibly as soon as next week.
“Vaccination is the way out of this pandemic, and we are excited about the next few days and weeks as we are able to launch this and partner in disseminating the vaccine. So please look at that as a positive and encourage folks to take the vaccine,” said Dr. Gary Stuck Advocate Aurora Health Chief Medical Officer.
Officials said with the vaccine a return to normal could happen by the second half of 2021. State officials say people should continue to take safety measures in the months ahead.
