GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- A national poll on children health says one in three parents won't get their child vaccinated for influenza this year.
Dr. Donald Beno, a pediatrician at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, about why parents are choosing to wait and why doctors still urge moms and dads to have their children vaccinated.
"They're the perfect spreaders," said Dr. Beno. "If a child has a itch, they usually scratch it. If it's in their nose, in their bottom, in their mouth, they're gonna put their hands there and then they're going to touch surfaces that you will touch getting you sick."
Dr. Beno says with resources in healthcare spread so thin it is key to use every tool available to prevent more illnesses.
