APPLETON (NBC26) -- Loaves & Fishes of the Fox Valley is celebrating 25 years of service to people in need.
For more than two decades now the nonprofit has provided free and nutritious meals to the community. Leaders say it's been an important mission that continues today.
“We started one day a week, every Monday. After 10 years, we increased it to 2 days a week, and 4 years after that, we increased it to 3 days a week and so here we are celebrating 25 years now,” said founder Carol Burns.
Loaves & Fishes is currently looking for non-perishable food donations to help out families around the holidays.
