LITTLE CHUTE — Tomorrow the Little Chute Public Library will celebrate its first official birthday.

In a press release, library officials explained that prior to this, the Little Chute Public Library was a one of the two branches of the Kimberly-Little Chute Public Library. Now, both Kimberly and Little Chute will have their own separate libraries that have their own staff, resources, programs, websites, and social media pages.

The new Little Chute Public Library is also announcing some changes.

● Effective as of 2021, the Little Chute Public Library is fine free. No patrons will accumulate late fees when items are checked out from the Little Chute Library location!
● The Little Chute Library is transitioning to a bookstore organization method. All items will be arranged by their genre/category - just like bookstores.
● The Little Chute Public Library 2021 Winter Reading Program begins on January 4, 2021 and ends on February 27, 2021. Registration and details can be found at kimlit.beanstack.org.
● The Little Chute Public Library is being remodeled. New features will include a quiet/sensory room in the children’s department with a dedication to past, beloved team member Ellen Gloudemans.

Until further notice, the Little Chute Public Library is offering curbside services, printing, notary, and other reference help during the hours of: Monday and Wednesday from 8AM - 8PM, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8AM - 5PM, and Saturday from 9AM - 1PM.

To use curbside services, patrons can call the library during any open hours at 920-788-7825 when they are in the parking lot or ring the library’s doorbell. Any holds can be placed at infosoup.org.

Those who want large amounts of librarian-selected materials can request a material pack on the Little Chute Public Library’s website or call the library for more details.
