'Light up Appleton' to bring the holiday spirit to the Fox Valley

APPLETON, Wis. (NBC26) -- The holiday spirit returns to downtown Appleton, kicking off with 'Light Up Appleton.'

The decorations are up in downtown Appleton. The well-known decor adds to the atmosphere every year for 'Light Up Appleton." The event takes place this Saturday!

The Trout Museum of Art and Appleton Downtown Inc, have a fun-filled, family-friendly holiday celebration taking place in Houdini Plaza.

There will be several local bands playing music as well as a couple entertainers to wow the crowd! There will be fire painting with Josh Canterbury of Canterbury Concepts, Krystal Kleer Ice sculptures and Jolly Giants elf stilt walkers!

The will also be make and take dangling snowmen with the Appleton Public Library, wagon rides with Cavanaugh Carriages, cookie decorating with Kiwanis Club and letter writing to Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Trout Museum of Art.
