KEWAUNEE (NBC 26) — UPDATE: The Kewaunee School District sent a letter to families and said there will not be classes on Friday.
The school district had previously gone into lockdown due to a threat.

The Kewaunee School District says it's currently in lockdown due to an "outside threat mentioning a firearm."
The school district made the announcement on its Facebook page late Thursday morning.
No one is able to enter or leave the building at this time and people are asked to stay clear of the facility as officials work to secure the campus.
All students and staff are safe within the facility, the school district said.
