APPLETON (NBC 26) — With food banks in need of help this holiday season, one company is lending a hand, or rather, a drink.

The dairy brand Kemps donated 175,000 packs of pasteurized milk. They have a shelf life of up to 12 months and will make a major difference in our communities.

"Right now, especially, getting milk and calcium to kids is very important because we have a lot of kids that are home right now due to the pandemic. So, they might have gotten food assistance through their school, but they're not at school right now so they're not getting that extra dose of calcium that was guaranteed in their day,” explained Lisa Endl of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.

40,000 packs of milk went to Feeding America's Appleton facility.
