OUTAGAMIE CO. (NBC 26) — Wednesday, law enforcement concluded an investigation regarding Internet Crime Against Children, resulting in one arrest.
The Outagamie County Sheriff's Office said a Kaukauna man was arrested and charged with 27 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Deputies identified the man as 48-year-old Samuel Richard Pynenberg, a registered sex offender who was on extended supervision after a prior conviction involving child pornography in 2015. Pynenberg served three years in prison for the prior case and was serving 10 years on extended supervision.
The Sheriff's Office said it was assisted by both the Appleton Police Department's Special Investigations Unit and the Wisconsin Department of Justice - Department of criminal Investigation Forensics Unit. Additionally, the office was supported by the Wisconsin Department of Justice - Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Deputies said they are continuing to investigate Pynenberg who was booked into the Outagamie Co. Jail. No further information has been released at this time.
