On Tuesday evening, the Chippewa Falls Police Department provided an update on the homicide investigation into the death of a 10-year-old girl.
Police Chief Matthew Kelm said a juvenile suspect has been arrested in the death of the child. Authorities said the suspect was someone the victim knew, not a stranger.
No age or gender of the suspect was provided.
Chief Kelm said tips were critical to this arrest and so far the department has received over 200 tips.
The investigation is on-going and no further details have been provided.
