CALUMET COUNTY — Calumet County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that an inmate's death is under investigation.
The Sheriff's Office said a corrections officer found an 18-year-old man not breathing at around midnight. According to the Sheriff's Office, officers and eventually EMS made efforts to save the inmate's life. He was taken to Ascension Calumet Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Calumet County Sheriff's Office said the Outagamie County Sheriffs Office is assisting with the investigation, which is considered normal protocol.
