GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Green Bay Police said an injured hawk has recovered and is ready to be released back into the wild.

The hawk was found in July with an arrow through its wing. The bird was taken to the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary where it was looked over by veterinarians.

After receiving care, physical therapy and flight training, Green Bay Police said the hawk will now be released back into the wild later this week.
