TOWN OF ROCKLAND (NBC 26) -- The Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office said a hunter is missing.
Deputies were called to the Manitowoc River in the Collins State Wildlife Area in Rockland at 3:21 Thursday afternoon.
Deputies learned that a 29-year-old man from Manitowoc was duck hunting on the river and may have been in distress. Multiple agencies responded and conducted ground, boat, and aerial searches, but the hunter was not found.
The man's name is not being released at this time. Foul play is not suspected.
Hunters are being asked to avoid the area on Friday.
Anybody with information is asked to call the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office.
