ASHWAUBENON, Wis. — It was a K9 frenzy on Saturday as dozens of dogs joined the annual 'doggie dip' at Ashwaubomay Lake.
With the human swimming season over, the Ashwaubenon Parks and Rec Department and the Wisconsin Humane Society once again welcomed the furry friends in for a swim.
Organizers said it's always a day filled with fun and joy.
"It's hilarious and awesome at the same time because you just have - last year I think we were a couple short of 400 dogs coming here," Lori Nachtwey said. "There's a lot of dogs and there just running around but it's great because they're just having a blast, so it's really fun to see."
A bulk of the proceeds from the event go to support the Wisconsin Humane Society.
