Valentine's Day is a little more than two weeks away, and some of us are already thinking of sweet gestures to do for our loved ones.
Katy Joosten, owner of Cheesy Love Cheesecakery and Bakery, says a custom cheesecake is the perfect gift for the cheese-lover in your life.
“I am just a person who, I like to do things for other people," she said. "I’m a stay at home mom so most of the time, I do enjoy baking for people who are like, 'Oh this is so awesome, thank you so much," you know, it’s just such a nice feeling to be able to share something that I love and then share it with somebody who will appreciate it.”
This year, the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin are giving away 500 heart-shaped boxes of award winning cheese. You can enter to win it yourself or you can nominate someone. The boxes will be shipped and you or your loved one will receive it in time for Valentine’s Day.
"Just a nice little box of cheese to celebrate Valentine’s Day, to say, 'I love you,'” said Joosten. "They have some beautiful, great products, quality products, and we always say, 'Quality in, quality out.' If you’re using good quality local products, you're going to come out with a good baked good.”
