VILLAGE OF SUAMICO, Wis. — A nearby house fire affected how parents were able to pick up their kids Monday afternoon at Suamico Elementary.
Suamico Police say the school itself is safe, but the lot and fire hydrant were used to tackle the house fire nearby.
The house itself is a total loss. Crews managed to save one car. No one was hurt and no one was home at the time of the fire.

DO NOT use ANY entrance off CTH B (School Lane). Parents can enter off of Riverside Drive and park behind the school (Green route). Buses will enter off of Riverside Drive and park in the loop (Yellow area).

There is NO issue at Suamico Elementary, the lot and fire hydrant are just being used for a house fire nearby. There is no cause for concern, other than a parking issue, at the school.
