BROWN COUNTY, Wis. — Driving down Interstate-41 on Monday night were hundreds and hundreds of trucks - but one community.

"Trucking is a family-hood, it really is," honor run organizer Becki Skulan said.

It's a family that is feeling a common pain.

"Any loss anywhere is a big deal, but this one's hard," Skulan said.

Jesse Hettmann died on Friday when he was hit and killed on Interstate-41. He was working with his tow truck and helping get a stalled car off the road.

"Jesse was a guy that he absolutely loved his job, he loved helping people, always helping," Jesse's brother, Matt Hettmann, said.

Now, it's the trucking community that's helping Jesse's family.

"We're just very thankful to see what Jesse's life has come out to be," Matt said.

The drivers Monday came with heavy hearts to show support.

"Tears of sorrow but at the same time a lot of tears of joy that everybody is coming together," Skulan said.

They're coming together to support a man and his family and to remind drivers out there to slow down and move over. They hope that message will prevent future honor rides, as special as Monday's ride was.

"That has shown me personally a lot," Skulan said. "I'm proud to be here, I really am."
