GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- A newly filed criminal complaint accuses a homicide suspect of stabbing a man 175 times.

Andres Garcia-Saenz, 22, was arrested earlier this month. He is accused of killing 73-year-old Douglas Campbell, who was found dead last month at a home on Traeger Street in Green Bay.

According to the criminal complaint, police responded to Campbell's home on March 17 after Campbell's boss said he wasn't answering his phone and that his home appeared to be broken into, the inside of the home ransacked.

The complaint said officers entered the home and found Campbell dead.

Details in the complaint indicate an investigation involving phone records linking the suspect and the victim eventually led officers to Garcia-Saenz. Police had previously said Garcia-Saenz was taken into custody after Green Bay S.W.A.T. executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Christiana Street on the city's west side.

The criminal complaint indicated a search of Garcia-Saenz's home revealed items that apparently belonged to Campbell.

The complaint says Garcia-Saenz told investigators he knew Campbell, but the complaint also states Garcia changed his story about how exactly they met.

Andres Garcia-Saenz faces one count of first degree intentional homicide, with a possible life sentence, if convicted.
