APPLETON, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The History Museum at the Castle is hosting it's first ever 'Museum on the Lawn' pop-up exhibit to highlight four different exhibits currently at the museum.

Organizers tell us they decided to offer the free event to continue their mission of sharing history and education, but to also be accessible to everyone in the community.

The event will take place rain or shine on Friday August 28th, 2020, however if it is raining the exhibits will stay inside the museum and admission for the day will be waived. The History Museum at the Castle is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

If you can not make it to the free pop-up event or due to COVID-19 can not attend in-person, you can check out the exhibits virtually on its website.

The event is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio andFairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Appleton.
