GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Are you looking to step up your style? Or how about your hat game?
Well, here's your chance. One local premier hat store is finally open.
Saturday morning, Hat-cetera, which is located in Green Bay’s Broadway District, had its ribbon cutting/grand re-opening.
The store first opened in 2008 on the other side of Broadway. The original owner retired in 2019, selling it to another hat lover Brittany Berkovitz.

However, with delays from the pandemic and searching for the perfect location after the old lease was up, they were finally able to find their new spot and were ready to open.

Berkovitz said this really gave them time to look at the market. She said she even had the chance to do a few pop-up events in De Pere over the last year.
She said the store finally opened about a month ago.
“Of course we all know the great pandemic of 2020 happened so we weren’t able to open right away, which was actually really okay. It gave me some time to stock up on inventory, got to get a better feel for what the business will look like,” Berkovitz said.
She shares her loves for hats saying it’s an accessory that can look good on anybody.

“I think hats are like one of the most classic style accessories you can have. Anytime someone puts a hat on their head I’m like that person is looking sharp right. I feel like a lot of people don’t think hats look good on them and it’s been kind of one of my missions before owning hats to prove people wrong really,” Berkovitz said.
