GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- One woman is taking on a marathon in a unique way.
Local domestic violence survivor Jennifer Chaudoir ran 26.2 miles while pushing a shopping cart in the Green Bay area Wednesday.
Her goal is to raise awareness and collect donations for Golden House.
"And for me that was the hardest part, I was isolated, and I didn't have any friends and I didn't have any support,” said Chaudoir. “And that's where places like Golden House can help. When I reached out to them, I got support and I got what I needed to help me leave. And that's why I like to support them because without them I don't know if I could have done it."
Golden House is a shelter on the east side of Green Bay, helping domestic violence survivors. Click here to learn more.
