GREEN BAY, Wis. — A student from Preble High School has passed away, according to a letter to families posted on the Green Bay Area School District website.
A school district spokesperson confirmed to NBC26 that this student is the person who was shot and killed in Green Bay on Friday.
Green Bay School Superintendent Michelle Langenfeld signed the letter which was posted Sunday.
"Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends," the letter says. "We wanted you to be aware as we never know the number of hearts the student and family have touched nor the impact the student’s passing will have on the lives of others."
