GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- After the COVID-19 outbreak, some restaurants decided to close down. Now, they're donating their extra food to a local food pantry.
The nonprofit Paul's Pantry announced on its Facebook page Wednesday that it received food from The Turn, 1919 Kitchen and Tap, and Krolls West Restaurant. The restaurants are located in or near Lambeau Field, which has shut down in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The three restaurants donated their fresh produce, dairy items and other perishables to the local food pantry.
"It is such a wonderful feeling to know, that even during a crisis, we can all come together to help those in need," Paul's Pantry wrote on Facebook.
Paul's Pantry thanked the restaurants, as well as others who have thought of the food pantry during the outbreak.
