Green Bay Police officer struck along I-43, will be OK

A vehicle hit a Green Bay Police officer and another person along I-43 Wednesday night just before 5 p.m., an official said.

The scene along the freeway was at North Webster Avenue.

The nine-year veteran was taken to a hospital, treated, and released, according to Green Bay Police Lt. Beguhn.

The officer will be OK, Lt. Beguhn said.

The civilian is also expected to recover.

No other information was available.
