GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Green Bay Police announced a “Bring your own 5” (BY05) basketball tournament will be held today at 1:00 p.m. at the east side Boys & Girls Club.
The event is hosted by Green Bay Police Department, the Divine Temple Church, and the Boys & Girls Club located on 1451 University Ave.
Police say the tournament is intended to provide a safe space for children to play during the holiday break as well as learn the values of sportsmanship, team building, and leadership.
According to Green Bay Police, the games will start at 1:00 p.m. and end around 3:30 p.m.
All youth are encouraged to attend and teams can be formed at the club. All kids are welcome even if they are not playing and admission is free.
