ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) — If you have pets or just love animals, the Green Bay Pet Expo is underway at new Resch Expo through Sunday.

Families can enjoy pet related exhibitors, rescue organizations and animals of all kinds. There’s also education, entertainment and shopping for pet items.

Patrick’s Funny Farm Petting Zoo, Brown County K-9 Unit demonstrations and Lynn Schuster the Animal Spirit Talker are among featured items.

You can bring your pet into the expo if you sign a waiver. All pets must be up to date on vaccines, healthy, mingle well in public and be on a non-retractable leash. Waivers can be found and printed ahead of time at ReschCenter.com. For those bringing a pet, there is a $2 suggested donation that will be given to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department K9 unit.

"I say we would probably see a couple thousand pets is the hope," said Amy Shadian, event designer for PMI Entertainment. "We’d like to see that many dogs, and or cats or animals, whatever you got, bring them out and we would love to see them. It’s a nice big open space so there’s plenty of room for everybody’s pet."

Expo hours are 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 30; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 1; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 2.

Admission is $10 for ages 13-62, $9 for seniors and military, $6 for ages 6-12, weekend pass is $15 and children 5 & younger are free.
