GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Firefighters said they responded to a shed on fire Saturday around 5 a.m.

Green Bay Metro Fire Department said the fire happened on the 3000 block of Riverside Drive near Highway 172 in the Village of Allouez.

First responders said a 25 by 50 foot shed was found on fire, which was spreading to surrounding brush and grass.

Crews said additional fire companies were requested because of the building's location off the road with limited access and no hydrants close by. Riverside Drive was closed as a hose was layed across the road to access hydrants.

Green Bay firefighters said equipment and other items stored inside the shed are considered a total loss. They estimate $15,000 in damages.

The fire is currently under investigation. No further information was provided at this time.
