Green Bay firefighters quickly put out attached garage fire

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Firefighters said they responded to a garage fire Saturday morning around 8:30 a.m.

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department said the fire happened on the 1100 block of Loch Drive.

Crews reported heavy smoke coming from a single car attached garage. They quickly attacked the fire as other crew members entered the home.

The Department said the fire was extinguished within 10 minutes. The garage sustained substantial fire damage while the house had moderate smoke and water damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No further information has been released at this time.
