GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- The company Alorica confirms it is closing its Green Bay facility.

The company's communications manager confirms in an email to NBC 26 that the closure will affect more than 100 jobs. A layoff notice issued to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) says a total of 157 workers will be affected.

The notice from the state says this reduction is expected to occur beginning on Feb. 28, 2020. DWD and its regional partner, the Bay Area Workforce Development Board, will offer rapid response services to the company and the affected workers.

Alorica's Green Bay facility is a call center. The majority of positions affected by this closing are customer service reps. An employee said they'll work until the end of February and will receive pay and benefits until then. This is confirmed by Alorica's layoff notice to the state, which said workers who remain employed with the company through their designated end date will be paid per their regular work schedule and receive benefits.
