GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — A local organization is collecting new diapers to help families struggling with homelessness or housing instability.

The 4th annual Diaper Green Bay Diaper Drive begins Monday. The drive, which runs through July 17, will collect diapers at locations throughout Green Bay. A list of diaper drop off locations can be found here.

According to the campaign, one in six Brown County children lives in poverty. Organizers say an adequate supply of diapers costs $100 per month. The diaper campaign says there is no government funding for diapers and a lack of enough diapers can be linked to child abuse and neglect.

Diaper Green Bay is the annual give-back campaign of Green Bay Doulas. The group says on a Facebook event page that all diapers raised are donated to House of Hope and distributed to other community partners as well.
