Green Bay Area Public School District to hold in-person graduations

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay Area Public School District's Class of 2021 will have the opportunity to walk across the stage at in-person graduation ceremonies this year.

Graduation ceremonies will be held at the Resch Center, 820 Armed Forces Drive, Green Bay:
· West High School, 11 a.m. June 6
· East High School, 3 p.m. June 6
· Southwest High School, 7 p.m. June 6
· Preble High School, 7 p.m. June 9

COVID-19 mitigation measures will be implemented in compliance with the Brown County Health Department, which include limited guests per student, physical distancing, required face coverings and additional time between ceremonies for cleaning.

GBAPS will be livestreaming the graduation ceremonies. The ceremonies will also be recorded and available on YouTube and will air on Spectrum’s Channel 4.

In addition, GBAPS’s two charter schools, John Dewey Academy of Learning and Northeast Wisconsin School of Innovation, as well as Dr. Rosa Minoka-Hill will hold in-person graduation ceremonies.

· Northeast Wisconsin School of Innovation, 5:30 p.m. June 7 & 8, Green Bay Botanical Gardens (two ceremonies will be held due to guest limitations due to COVID-19 mitigation measures)
· John Dewey Academy of Learning, 5 p.m. June 8, Bay Beach Pavilion
· Dr. Rosa Minoka-Hill, 6:30 p.m. June 3, Minoka-Hill School

More information regarding graduation ceremonies will be shared with the Class of 2021 and their families in the coming weeks, according to the school district.
