NEENAH (NBC 26) — Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin teamed up with Volunteer Fox Cities and Miron Construction for an Earth Day Donation Drive to collect items and keep them out of landfills.
The Goodwill NCW truck was parked at Miron Construction in Neenah Thursday to receive donations.
"Home decor, really anything that you find around the house that you're not using," said Gabrielle Dorn, brand manager for Goodwill NCW. "Kids clothing, women's clothing, men's clothing, shoes, hand bags, accessories... all that fun stuff is a great donation for us."
"This stuff gets sold in one of our 27 retail store locations," she said. "And if it doesn't sell there, then it goes to our outlet location. And then if it doesn't sell to outlets, we actually have a post sale retail strategy that we can continue to keep items out of the landfill, no matter what the quality is."
Those who couldn't donate on Earth Day can still drop things off at one of Goodwill NCW's 27 retail locations and four donation expresses across their 35 counties.
