SUAMICO, Wis (NBC26) -- Habitat for Humanity works to help families find safe affordable housing by building those affordable homes in the community.

One way they do that is through fund raising. On November 14th there will be an auction on homemade works of art donated by folks in the community. The Habitat for Humanity Green Bay chapter is still looking for people to donate their craft projects to auction off. It's super simple to get involved!

If you're interested in getting involved, there are two ways to help.

  1. Create an item on your own and donate it to the event to be auctioned off.
  2. “Check out” a piece from the ReStore (2965 Ramada Way) valued up to $70, repurpose it, then return the item to be auctioned off.

Finished items must have a minimum value of $40 and can be dropped at the NEW ReStore (1967 Allouez Avenue) between October 21 and November 1.
The fundraiser takes place on November 14th at Badger State Brewing in Green Bay. It is $5 for admission and takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
