STURGEON BAY (NBC 26) -- Frontline workers received a maritime salute in Sturgeon Bay on Friday.
The Door County Maritime Museum and the Coast Guard teaming up to honor the workers by blasting their horns in tribute.
"Obviously what's going on these days is important. And the people that are working on the front lines are incredibly important,” said Sam Perlman, the Deputy Director/Development Manager DC Maritime Museum. “You see what other municipalities in other parts of the country are doing, all the folks in New York who go out at 7 o'clock every day and make noise for their healthcare workers, and we wanted to do something similar for the folks here in Sturgeon Bay and in Door County."
Several local boaters took to the water to join in the tribute.
