BIRMINGHAM, Al. — NBC26's Chris Barriere is in Alabama this weekend as friends and family prepare to celebrate the life of Packer's legend Bart Starr.
Starr passed away in May at the age of 85.
On Sunday, a memorial service will celebrate Starr's life.
It's a chance for the community to come together and remember a man whose reputation as a football player was preceded only by his reputation as a person.
The service on Sunday will take place at a local university theatre.
