Malcolm Brogdon, formerly of the Milwaukee Bucks, joined in on peaceful protests Saturday in Atlanta.

A video of Brogdon giving a speech to protesters is being shared on Twitter and other social media platforms.

In the video, Brogdon is heard saying "We don't have to burn down our homes, we built this city. This is the most proudly black city in the world."

He continued on by saying "let's take some pride in that. let's focus our energy, let's enjoy this together. This is our moment. We have leverage right now."

According to Brogdon, his grandfather marched next to Martin Luther King Jr. in the 60s.

"He was amazing. He would be proud to see us all here," said Brogdon.

Brogdon wasn't the only NBA athlete out protesting Saturday. He was also joined by the Boston Celtics' Jaylen Brown.

Brogdon spoke about marching with Brown, saying "Jaylen, man, has led this charge. I'm proud of him. We need more leaders. We need more people speaking."
