FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Fond du Lac Police say eight people have been detained after a SWAT operation in the area of 6th and Marr Street on Monday.
Police say officers were executing a search warrant at a home on 76 6th Street. Police said the nature of the warrant was firearms related and was also an effort to catch a fugitive from Arizona.
Due to concerns about firearms, police asked people living nearby to shelter in place. Police sent out an all-clear message once they determine there was no longer any danger.
Police say all the people in the home surrendered peacefully. Eight people were detained, but police are not releasing information on arrests at this time.
Police are, however, confirming that officers took a 23-year-old man from Arizona into custody on a felony parole warrant.
